			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>New Cleveland Indians manager Manny Acta has his work cut out for him this season, with the Tribe expected by most to be possibly the worst team in the American League as they rebuild. The one place Cleveland seemed set was at leadoff with Grady Sizemore, but Acta is moving him down to No. 2 in the lineup. <p>&#8220;We felt this is the best spot for me,&#8221; says Sizemore, the Indians&#8217; franchise leader with 21 career leadoff homers, while scoring at least 100 runs in his first four seasons.</p>
<p>Sizemore played in just 109 games last year with an elbow injury that resulted in surgery. Shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera will now hit leadoff. He had a .797 OPS [on-base plus slugging percentage] last year, ranking third among AL shortstops behind Jason Bartlett of Tampa Bay and Derek Jeter of the Yankees.</p>
<p>To Acta, having a leadoff hitter capable of hitting 30 homers like Sizemore is when the rest of lineup is suspect didn&#8217;t make sense. Sizemore has been one of MLB&#8217;s most productive leadoff hitters over the last five years. He&#8217;s a .277 (762-for-2753) career hitter in the leadoff spot with 505 runs, 170 doubles, 34 triples, 115 homers, 354 RBI and 121 steals. He does strike out too much. Sizemore is a career .252 (30-for-119) No.2 hitter with 30 runs, five doubles, three triples, seven homers, 23 RBI and three steals. He has a .346 on-base percentage and a .521 slugging percentage.</p>
<p>Last season Sizemore moved into the No.2 spot when he was struggling with elbow and groin problems. He hit .257 (28-for-109) with 19 runs, five doubles, three triples, six homers and 21 RBI in the second spot.</p>

<p>However, that&#8217;s not to say that the exercises such as Jumping Jacks, Pull ups, Dips etc that have been introduced to us in gym class should be overlooked.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>No.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>They are great exercises as well, and the fact that they involve your own bodyweight make them even more of an acceptable choice than using expensive and even unsafe equipments.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Now as far as calisthenics are concerned, these wonderful exercises have the ability to loosen constitutional encumbrances through various kinds of vibrations and thermal differences. They are highly effective as well in helping to lose weight and detoxifying the human body and in conjunction with the afore mentioned Sun Salutations (or some of the other poses described in the text) can serve as great methods to tone and strengthen the body.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>They are divided into two groups: aerobic (meaning with oxygen) or anaerobic (without oxygen)</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Aerobic Exercises: Include such common exercises as jogging, long distance running, swimming, walking, and mild dancing.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>In all of these activities there is a constant supply of oxygen and thus can be performed for longer durations of time. They are great for increasing muscular endurance and toning the body.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Anaerobic Exercises: These are intense exercises which can only be endured for a few moments. They are short bursts of high-energy activities involving the use of muscle groups at high intensities which exceeds the body&#8217;s capacity to use oxygen to supply energy thus creating an oxygen debt.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Consequently the body has to rely on an internal metabolic process for oxygen which leads to a muscular explosion and an eventual increase in size and mass. Other examples of anaerobic exercises are lifting heavy weights, wrestling (thus the huge size of the gorilla!), rope climbing, speed cycling etc.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Now, that we have gone over the two main types of calisthenics, in the next article, I will discuss or go over some of the more popular ones commonly used.</p>

<p>It is gaining popularity in leaps and bounds and although I heard about this program way back in 2000, I never would have foreseen that it would one day be something that almost anyone in holistic and alternative living would know off AND actually use.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>It&#8217;s known as the Master Cleanser (aka Lemonade diet) and even R&amp; B singer; Beyonce, is in on the program as she reportedly used the Lemonade fasting recipe to shed weight while filming the upcoming movie: Dreamgirls.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Nonetheless, I am of the firm belief that the author or maker of this recipe-the late Dr. Stanley Burroughs-never had any intentions of having this program being seen as a shortcut to a rapid weight loss. Quite the contrary, even though you will inevitably lose the pounds, the goal here is more for cleansing and detoxification, rather than just losing weight quickly or rapidly.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>So without further ado, I share the recipe with you so you too can try it out for yourself:</p>
<p> </p>
<p>* 2 Tbsp lemon or lime juice (approx. 1/2 lemon)</p>
<p> </p>
<p>* 2 Tbsp genuine maple syrup (not maple flavored sugar syrup)</p>
<p> </p>
<p>* 1/10 Tsp cayenne pepper (red pepper) or to taste</p>
<p> </p>
<p>* Water, medium hot (spring or purified water)</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Combine the juice, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper in a 10 oz. glass and fill with medium hot water. (Cold water may be used if preferred.) Use fresh lemons or limes only, never canned lemon or lime juice nor frozen lemonade or frozen juice. Use organic lemons when possible.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The author suggests that you drink a laxative tea both morning and night or use the salt water wash that he recommends in his program in the morning with the tea at night.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>From my experience, the best tea to use will be the &#8220;Smooth Move Tea&#8221; and for the salt water wash, here are the guidelines:</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Prepare a full quart of lukewarm water and add two level (rounded for the Canadian quart) teaspoons of uniodized sea salt. Do not use ordinary iodized salt as it will not work property.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Drink the entire quart of salt and water first thing in the morning. This must be taken on an empty stomach.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The salt and water will not separate but will stay intact and quickly and thoroughly wash the entire tract in about one hour.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Now, coming of the fast is also an important phase that should be approached with caution, I laughed out when I read that though Beyonce may have used this program, she reportedly went on a binge feast of junk food to gain her weight back.</p>
<p> </p>
